VSi Troubleshooting Cheat Sheet
- Check Integrity of All Connections:
- Ensure VSi switchbox is connected to the steering wheel.
- On the EDTC ensure cable 051-0259-000# is connected to the switchbox and
- One side is connected to the terminal/receiver and
- One side is connected to the EDTC CAN port.
- On the EDX ensure cable 051-0316-000# is connected to the switchbox and the EDX steering controller.
- Ensure the blue “Terminator” is installed on the switchbox.
- Verify Power:
- On the GPS Console
- On the EDTC or EDX Console
- On the VSi Switchbox
- Verify Software Versions:
- STS Version 1.5.7 or newer
- S3 Version 3.50.14 or newer
- EDTC Version 3.25
- Outback Max and STS will work with EDTC Version 3.25
- Outback Max and STX require software to match the EDX software (see website)
- Turn Steering Wheel ¼ Turn and Wait for Clicking Sound
- Lightning Bolt Icon Appears on Screen
- Perform Steering Test
- Steering Speed is defaulted to 40
- Adjust Steering Speeds According to Vehicle Interface
- Check Performance and Compare to Previous Result
Increase Speed until Machine Oscillates / Over Corrects and Then Back That Value Down By Factor of 10
- Increase in Speed Will Make the System React Faster – Risking over correction
- Lower Steering Speed Will Make System React Slower – Risking Under correction
