A map layer refers to a specific feature you can display on the map screen—prescription maps and
as-applied areas. Use applied color map functionality to set the colors of varying coverage rates
(the area to which you apply material, such as seed or fertilizer, is displayed as a specific color).
You work with these features for each rate channel via the Map Layers panel (shown at right). On
the panel, the box above the buttons indicates the affected channel.
Previous Help stated the following:
- Prescription and As Applied buttons only appear on the Map Layers panel if you have the
optional rate and section control installed on your system and connected to Outback MAX. - The Applied Color Map button only appears on the Mapping Options panel if you have optional rate control installed on your system and connected to Outback MAX.
Applied Color Map now shares the same panel as Prescription and As Applied buttons. By the
same logic as above, none of these buttons would appear if no rate/section control connected.
Does this mean the Map Layers panel is no longer available if no rate/section control connected?
